10 Things to Look Out for on Your Spiritual Journey
An inspired look at the changes that take place whilst you're on the spiritual path
There is no script or how to list when it comes to the spiritual journey. Each person's experience is different. And to some extent, the experience takes place without any conscious effort.
Today I'd like to share with you 10 Things that were central to my spiritual journey. They continue to influence me, as I'm guided daily and as you read the list, some of the experiences may resonate with you too.
The importance of listening to yourself. Listen to your intuition. That feeling that you have in your gut, your hunches, your feelings. It's your chakras speaking to you. Don't ignore it. It's there for a purpose.
To go with these feelings regardless of whether or not they make sense at the time.
It was Martin Luther King who said, you don't need to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.
Look at me, for example, when I decided to speak openly about my sleep paralysis experiences, which I must admit was a dark period of my life, who would have thought that today I'd be making a living from it, that I'd be doing a PhD - on my way to become a doctor specializing in sleep paralysis and spiritual phenomenon. I’m creating a legacy and a wave within society that can't be ignored from an initial feeling that I couldn’t shake.
Be prepared for change. You will begin to see people and events around you differently. You will observe and notice as you stand back and see things that you didn't see before.
You'll begin to feel confident within yourself. A sureness will be within you, that will glow and people will start to wonder what's happening with you. You will become your best friend. As you learn about yourself, you'll start to understand yourself, your feelings, your motivations, what excites you, what ticks you off. You'll become more aware of all of these.
You'll realize that what anyone else has to say about any particular thing doesn't really matter. What matters is that you're true to yourself, you're true to your inner being and what drives you.
You’ll thirst for more teaching, knowledge, understanding about the spiritual path and the journey that you're on.
You'll notice synchronicities. You'll understand that nothing random ever happens. You'll begin to see that there's a bigger plan in all things. And you'll understand that all of these things connect.
You'll have an appreciation for all life forms, whether it's a blade of grass, a tree, an animal or human life, you will begin to appreciate and understand that we are all made by the Ultimate Univeral Creator.
You will appreciate the wider cosmos and that we are all part of something much bigger. You will know that there is more going on than just this physical life.
The final and 10th thing is that your circle of friends and associates will begin to change, not due to any particular reason, but some people will phase out of your life. Your circle will become filled with people who are like-minded. Whether they are online or offline your immediate circle will change.
Whether you experience some or all of the above, the spiritual path is filled with change and wonderment. Both are welcomed. And to be honest, you really don't have a choice. You simply go with the flow and hold on as the ride takes off.
A reminder that I will be speaking at this event on Saturday 19th March where I am honoured to be one of the featured guests! It’s a conference with a calibre of speakers that usually costs 100's of pounds, but I’ve been given free tickets to share with you and any of your family and friends.

Dont Forget to Sign up for the research
I’m looking for people to take part in my research. As a long-term experiencer of sleep paralysis, this topic is of particular importance not only to me personally but also to anyone who has similar experiences and the wider public.  Your consideration of taking part in this project is greatly appreciated.
What is the purpose of the study?
The aims of my research are to explore how sleep paralysis experiences are made sense of and managed in terms of social interaction and individually by the experiencers.  Ultimately, my research will ask: How does society respond if you say that you experienced sleep paralysis? And, how does the individual make sense of the experience to ensure that their everyday lives are not negatively impacted?
If you are interested in taking part or know someone who would like to take part, send an email saying that you’re interested, to: info@sheilaprycebrooks.com and I’ll get back in touch with you.
Look out for the next post from me. And don't forget to leave your comments and questions below. I'll be answering questions at the end of the month.
As we journey together.
