Does the Concept of Time Exist?
A mind-blowing epiphany that changes everything that we believe
The concept of time has confounded scientists for hundreds of years, with Einstein saying that:
“People like us who believe in physics, know that the distinction between the past, present, and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.”
Time, in other words is an illusion that does not exist.
Today, in relation to our overall health and well-being, we emphasize the importance of being in the now and focusing on the present moment, rather than the past or the future. With many mindfulness techniques available, the idea is that when we think about future or the past events, we are unnecessarily projecting energy into something we cannot control and have no influence over. This then causes undue worry, stress, and anxiety that impacts negatively on our overall health and wellness.
By staying in the present moment, there are no thoughts being projected and one can enjoy the experience that is taking place. This reduces your stress levels and resistance allowing you to receive positive energy.
There are also theories that pertain to all things taking place simultaneously and that our lives are made up of an eternal series of ‘now’ moments which means that the past and future does not exist.
I recently watched a 2016 movie that took the ‘non-existence of time’ theory to a new level, to the extent that I had an epiphany that caused me to completely rethink my position on the concept of time theories. It caused me to evaluate my beliefs in relation to time, extraterrestrial involvement in our daily lives and my vulnerability to accept things as fact that have no truth behind them.
The movie is called Arrival, starring Amy Adam as Louise Banks, a linguistic expert who is sent to translate the language of extraterrestrials who arrive on earth.
Without giving too much of the story away, the extraterrestrials, who looked like giant walking octopus land in their craft, which has compartments that are specifically designed with gaseous compounds that they exist within.
Their method of communication was various grunting noises, intermixed with ink blot stains that they randomly squirted. The task for Louise was humongous.
But what really stood out was that when she approached the beings, there was a form of telepathy combined with shifts in time that they were able to control. Time was not linear for these entities, and they were able to manipulate it so that if flowed backward and forward, forming a new type of time lineage.
For me, the concept of extraterrestrials manipulating time was something that I had never really considered, particularly from a spiritual, otherworldly or ufology perspective. I guess that sleep is a great example of time meaning different things to each of us, as for some 7 hours of sleep seems like 5 minutes, whereas for others 7 sleeping hours feels like an eternity. Time and numbers It can be extremely important when we realize that time and numbers such as 1, 1, 1, 1 or 3, 3, 3 and of course waking up at 3-4 a.m. every night has significance.
I enjoyed Arrival. I learnt a lot from it and realized that perhaps we are not as enlightened, educated, or all-knowing as we think we are, and that stepping outside of our self-made conceptual boxes can be a good thing.
I found a preview of Arrival on YouTube (below). The full movie can be found on Amazon Prime and other streaming networks. It’s definitely worth watching.
I hope you enjoy the clip and find the full movie as interesting as I did. I look forward to reading your comments and feedback.
And I hope you enjoyed this post and find the movie interesting.
