Is the Dream Real? Are We Really Living in the Matrix?
Andrew gives us something to think about
Today’s post is a little bit different to the ones that I usually post.
I came across fellow Substack author Andrew Heard, who publishes the newsletter TV's Moral Philosophy which looks at the moral and ethical concepts involved in bringing TV and other mediums to life.
One of his posts stood out for me and I was so intrigued that I thought I’d share it.
The post is called How The Matrix Shows Us The Value of Seeing the World As It Is. It raises several questions that relate to how we see the world and things which we take for granted, within the context of the 1999 movie The Matrix. For those of you who haven’t seen the movie, I would recommend watching the very first episode. Your thoughts on it would be much appreciated in the comments below.
Here is a link to Andrew’s post. Be sure to come back here afterwards for any points that you’d like us to discuss. As always, I’d love to hear your views.
Enjoy and have a great week!
P.S. I found the official trailer for The Matrix on YouTube. Watch it and tell me: Is the dream real!
