Narcolepsy - The Sleeping Disorder
What is it and why are we discussing it here?
Narcolepsy is a chronic sleep disorder that causes excessive daytime sleepiness even after waking up feeling rested.
Anyone with Narcolepsy will find it challenging to stay awake for long periods of time and bouts of sleep can take place at any time without control, for example, whilst driving, cooking, or even speaking.
For obvious reasons, Narcolepsy can cause serious problems for anyone who experiences it.
A section on Narcolepsy has been added to the website HERE or visit the links below
The medical community states that Narcolepsy is caused by a neurological disorder that prevents the body’s sleep-wake cycle from occurring.
It is crucial for us to include Narcolepsy on this platform as we know that Narcolepsy episodes can consist of astral projection, lucid dreaming, and sleep paralysis. The medical community also accepts that many Narcolepsy patients experience out-of-body and paranormal phenomena. Like sleep paralysis, it has no cure and experiencers are often prescribed chemically based medication to treat the symptoms.
The contents of the new Narcolepsy page section includes:
Meditation-Relaxation (MR Therapy) for Sleep Paralysis: A Pilot Study in Patients With Narcolepsy
Narcolepsy and Emotional Experience: A Review of the Literature
The Pathogenesis of Narcolepsy with a Consideration of Sleep-Paralysis and Localized Sleep
Two Cases of Narcoleptic Patients with Sleep Paralysis as a Chief Complaint
